Strategic Lead Artforms Leeds

In the role of Strategic lead for Partnerships within the West Yorkshire Music Hub, ArtForms Leeds will foster and manage relationships between various stakeholders, including schools, the 5 music services leading the consortium, industry partners, and community organizations, to ensure the effective delivery of music education across the region.  ArtForms is responsible for identifying potential partners who can contribute to the goals of the National Plan and provide additionality and breadth to the work of the 5 music services. This includes, but is not exclusive to, working with further and higher educational institutions and engaging with industry professionals to create opportunities for students to experience real-world music environments.

One of the key responsibilities is to ensure that these partnerships are inclusive and accessible to all children, regardless of their background or circumstances. This involves working closely with the strategic leads for Inclusion and Schools in order to support children in challenging circumstances and ensuring that music education is available in a range of settings.  The role also requires a focus on sustainability and progression. The Strategic Partnerships Lead will work alongside the Sustainability lead to work with partner organisations to secure funding and resources to maintain and expand opportunities for children and young people.  Alongside the strategic lead for Progression, ArtForms will work with partner organisations to ensure that WYMH is able to provide pathways for students to progress from early music education to more advanced levels, including professional careers in music. In summary, the Strategic Partnerships Lead will ensure that the WYMH is able to build and maintain the networks and collaborations that will enable the successful implementation of the National Plan for Music and ensure that all children have the opportunity to benefit from the transformative power of music.
