Strategic Lead Musica Kirklees
Musica Kirklees will be leading on progression strategies and initiatives as part of WYMH. By building on existing progression routes with our strategic partners across the region, we aim to develop and nurture existing local relationships, partnerships and networks by sharing good practice, developing opportunities and supporting students’ musical journeys wherever they may lead.
Ensemble provision play a central role in how young people progress as musicians. The regional opportunities emphasise flexible pathways, inclusive access, and continuity from the earliest stages of musicianship through to advanced ensembles and beyond.
We are incredibly fortunate to have a plethora of ensembles across West Yorkshire with a considerable amount of options for children and young people.
In addition to the ensembles within schools and community groups, our Consortium Partner organisations boast over 150 ensembles across West Yorkshire.
